This was a super special week in ImagiNation, Jump Street and Shockwave because we talked about salvation! Together, we learned Back to School Survival Tip #1:  It's About Who You Know!  We talked about the people we all need to know in school, and we watched this video during our large group time to help us understand that the only person we really need to know is Jesus...

Our Bible story came from Luke 15:1-10. It's the story of Jesus looking for the one lost sheep. In Large Group, Moze was stressed over losing something very important.  His new friend Cory was able to refer to his survival guide and share this story of Jesus' love with Moze and all of our K-5 kids.

This week in SpringTown and Treehouse we celebrated this truth:  Jesus Loves Me!  We had fun playing Backyard Campout using binoculars, bug nets, and tents.  We used fly swatters during small group to swat at pesky mosquito cards full of situations where we mess up and do wrong things (those are called sin).  During large group, we had so much fun singing "This Little Light of Mine" with Allie, Campbell and Hoot the Owl, our Backyard Campout characters.  Campbell took some flowers from Mrs. Blooms garden, even though she wasn't supposed to.  Allie helped Campbell see that even though we do wrong things Jesus loves us by reading Bible story by the campfire:

This week in Springtown and Treehouse we continued our Backyard Campout series by talking about our friends at church!  One of KidSpring's values is relationships.  We value kids' relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their small group leader and other children in the group.  As families commit to attending the same service each week, children are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow!

We celebrated small groups this week by focusing on loving our church friends. During small group we played a game that helped us remember the fun things we do each week with our church friends.  And when we hiked into Large Group, we saw how Campbell and Allie love their church friends.  We also sang songs with them and listened to this Bible story by the campfire:

Need to Know:  I Love My Church Friends!

Bible Story:  Jesus Chooses His Disciples (Matt. 4:18-22)

Remember Verse:  Matthew 5:16
Let the good things you do (Thumbs up)
Shine out for all to see (Jazz hands beside face)
So the everyone (Reach out to others)
Will praise your Heavenly Father. (Wave arms up high)

This week in our Back to School Survival Guide series, kids in ImagiNation, Jump Street & Shockwave learned the importance of being part of a small group.

Each week, when your family commits to attending the same service, your child is paired with the same small group leader and group of kids.  It is our desire for these kids to develop meaningful relationships, ones that will carry them throughout their time in KidSpring and until they leave our Fuse student ministry.

This week we taught the importance of this concept through the story of Jesus and his "small group" of disciples.  To see the story, check out this video:
