This week we had an amazing time celebrating the birth of Jesus! Hundreds of elementary school kids across all of our campuses learned that "Jesus Is God's Gift To Us!"
In large group, all the hustle and bustle of the holidays started getting to Goose. Crazy things kept happening and Goose was sure that Goodwin would start looking for a replacement. But, something else happened. Goodwin actually revealed a big secret...his real identity! Goodwin is actually Goody Gumdrop, the owner of Goody Gumdrop's Christmas Candy Factory! Goodwin had been undercover this whole time in search of someone who could take over the factory. After leading Goose through training, Goodwin knew exactly who to choose! Goose had a hard time receiving such great news and needed some help from the helpline. Here's how the conversation went:

Goose learned that no one did anything to deserve God's most amazing gift to us, Jesus! And because of that, Goose was able to accept the gift of the entire factory from Goodwin.
In small group, kids had a blast learning that Jesus is God's gift to us through the story of his birth and the shepherd's visit in Luke 2:1-20. The story inspired several "Minute-To-Win-It" style games, including "traveling oreos", "build a barn", and "shepherd hockey" just to name a few.
It was a great day and a great celebration because "Jesus Is God's Gift To Us!"
This Chrismtas in KidSpring we celebrated with our friends, learned a story from the Bible and even made cookies as we learned that "I Can Tell Everyone About Jesus!" just like the shepherds in Luke 2:1-20. Watch this true story from the Bible here...

Everything is moving right along at Goody Gumdrop's Christmas Candy Factory! With only a few more days until Christmas, Goose Berry is moving on up in training. In fact, this week we saw the production of 5,072,000 jawbreakers specially designed for children all over the world! Fortunately for Goose, there were a lot of things that happened leading up to the day when all of those jawbreakers were to ship out...a lot of things that Goose never expected!
When Goose had trouble getting into the Production Floor, he panicked and called the North Pole Helpline. This is how the phone call went...

Goose learned, as we all did, that When You Obey God, You Can Expect the Unexpected! In small group, we played a fun game full of unexpected lefts and rights. We also talked about times when we will have to obey God and trust Him to work everything out for our good, even the things we don't expect!

This Sunday kids in SpringTown and Treehouse had fun learning "I Can Do What God Wants Me To Do!" as they pretended to be elves in Chef Jolly's Christmas Kitchen. In Large Group, Chef Jolly's chief helper elf, Jingle, did not think it would possible to make one of Chef Jolly's special recipes for their neighbor Mr. Tinsel. But after hearing this Bible story from Luke 1:26-38, Jingle could say, "I Can Do What God Wants Me To Do!"

In small group, we talked about ways we can do what God wants us to do by sharing our things, waiting with a happy heart and obeying our parents! We also practiced saying our Remember Verse from James 1:17 "Every good (two thumbs up) and perfect gift (pretend to hold out gift) is from God (upward "v")." You can practice saying this verse at home, too!
