This Sunday, kids were able to say "Thank You NewSpring" for investing in the future of our church by wearing a cool new t-shirt! As a church, we know the only thing that will still matter years from now is the truth about Jesus. We desperately want the next generation to understand that truth and that’s why we talked about the importance of the Bible in KidSpring! The big question we asked was “What’s the Big Deal About the Bible?” We searched for clues and found our answer by reading 2 Peter 1:20-21 and 2 Timothy 3:16. We learned that What The Bible Says God Says!
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written. People wrote down the words in the Bible, but God told them all exactly what to write and made sure they didn't make any mistakes. We can know the Bible is true because it contains 66 books by 40 different authors written over a period of 1,500 years, yet it is completely unified and tells one story of God's love for all people. We discovered that it's important to obey what the Bible says because those are God’s very own words to us!
We followed Parker and Stevie as they continued searching for treasure in Great Grandfather Henry Pif-Paf's mansion. The story took a surprising twist at the end when we found out Parker actually has Pif-Paf's diary! Join us next week as we find out what clues are hidden inside!
This Sunday, we continued answering our mystery question, “Is God real?” We can believe that God is real because God Is Everywhere! The clues we found in Large Group led our secret agent watch, Cluey, straight to a story in God's Word. It comes from Matthew 6:25-31, 10:28-30, Luke 15:3-24 and James 4:8. Follow our secret agent club rule, and "Listen" as Cluey tells us all about it:

Since God is with all of us all of the time, He's everywhere! Come back next week to help us find more clues about God. In the meantime, keep practicing our Remember Verse:
"Believe that God is real. (both arms point up)
He rewards everyone (pat self on back)
Who searches for Him." (binoculars to eyes, scanning room)
Hebrews 11:6 (hold up six fingers)
This Sunday, we really dug down deep and talked about one of the greatest mysteries about God. The mystery question we decoded was “How are God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit the same?” To find the evidence, we opened the Bible to Genesis 1, Luke 1, Luke 23 and Matthew 1. We discovered that God is Three in One!
In small group, we talked about different things that have three parts but all make up one thing. Some examples were a family, the three different states of water, fruit, your eye, and more! We all discussed the example of candy corn. It has an orange, a yellow and a white section, but it is one whole candy corn. In the same way, God is the Father, the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit, but all three persons make up one God!
In large group, we played a game that showed us how three people can all be doing different things, but that they all make up one team. We also caught up with Parker and Stevie on their treasure hunt. The clues they uncovered pointed to the fact that God is Three In One. Parker and Stevie are now a few steps closer to finding the treasure of Henry Pif-Paf! That is, if this so called treasure is actually real!
Here's the Bible Story we heard in Large Group from Great Grandpa Pif-Paf's Journal:

“But without faith no one can please God. We must believe that God is real and that He rewards everyone who searches for Him.” - Hebrews 11:6
This Sunday, we looked to the Bible for more ways to answer our mystery question: “Is God real?” In Psalm 139:1-12 King David wrote a song that tells us God is everywhere! We can believe that God is real is because God Is Everywhere! Our secret agent watch, Cluey, used the clues we found in large group to find King David's song in the Bible. In small group, our mystery cards showed us that God is with us everywhere--when we're eating & sleeping and when we go places like the store or the zoo! Come back next week, and help us find more clues to answer "Is God real?" and in the meantime, you can practice our Clue series Remember Verse:
"Believe that God is real. (both arms point up)
He rewards everyone (pat self on back)
Who searches for Him." (binoculars to eyes, scanning room)
Hebrews 11:6 (hold up six fingers)
This Sunday in KidSpring, we decoded our second mystery question: “Is God Real?”
Our search for the answer began in small group where we read the story of Creation in the Bible. We learned that God made everything! In fact, God made things that are impossible for people to make such as the stars, the sun, oceans, trees, gravity and even our own hearts! Kids recorded evidence that God is real in their very own Detective Notes that they took home to review this week. Through God's Word we uncovered that God Is Real! He Created Things That Are Impossible For People To Make!”
In large group, cousins Parker Pif-Paf and Stevie Smart began their search for the hidden treasure of Pif-Paf Manor. Parker and Stevie’s great grandfather, Henry Pif Paf, invited them on this journey with a promise that if they endure to the end the greatest treasure on earth would be theirs forever! Parker is ready to find the treasure and carry on Pif-Paf's legacy, but Stevie thinks it's all a hoax. We will join them again next week to see where the next clue leads them!
