Sunday in KidSpring we had fun learning about another fruit of the spirit...self-control. Self-control is thinking before I act!
Though it's not always easy for us to have self-control, we can ask God to grow that fruit of the Spirit in our heart. Up & Adam helped us see how Jesus had self control when he was tempted by Satan in Luke 4.
We've been learning our memory verse from Galatians 5:22-23, and everyone should have the whole thing memorized! If you can recite it in 2 weeks you will win a prize!
"But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."
Howdy! This Sunday we had Fun on the Farm learning how to have Self-Control. We can all have self-control by thinking before we act. The Israelites did not have self-control in Exodus 19-20:23 & 32. Listen and watch as Uncle Earl tells us their story from Bible:
Don't forget to bring all your friends and all your kin this coming Sunday as KidSpring takes over the adult service to show everyone what each week is like in KidSpring! See the post at the top of this page for the details!
Sunday in KidSpring we had fun learning about another fruit of the spirit...Geltleness. Gentleness is being careful with my words and actions.
We had fun celebrating Father's Day, and we also had fun with Up and Adam! They helped us learn about Gentleness through the story of The Lost Son in Luke 15.
Each week, we're learning one more word from our memory verse, Galatians 5:22-23. So far, we've learned the verse up to the word "gentleness." Keep practicing the verse so that by the end of our series, On the Farm, you can say the whole thing and win a prize!
"But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."
This Sunday was Father's Day, and preschoolers had Fun on Farm celebrating dads and learning about a fruit of the Spirit called "Gentleness". Gentleness is being careful with your words and actions, just like the dad in the story of "The Lost Son". Say "Howdy" to Uncle Earl and hear this story that Jesus told in Luke 15:11-32:
Kids also colored & took home invitations for our July 3 family production. Share these with all your friends and kin as you invite them to join us for this special day when KidSpring and the adult service collide on all our campuses. Until then, keep trying to remember all nine fruit of the Spirit. Here's a song to help you out:
