Howdy there farm friends! This week preschoolers had Fun on the Farm learning about Goodness. When can all show goodness by doing what is right. David did what was right even when King Saul was being mean to him in 1 Samuel 24. Here's how Uncle Earl told us this true story from the Bible:

Bring your dad next week for a special Father's Day at NewSpring, and have him practice remembering this verse with your family this week:

“The Holy Spirit   (point up)

produces this kind of fruit   (roll arms around each other)

in our lives:   (thumbs to chest)

love,   (cross arms over chest)

joy,   (point to smile)

peace,   (peace sign)

patience,   (tap watch)

kindness,   (right thumbs up)

goodness,   (left thumbs up)

faithfulness,   (pat heart)

gentleness,   (stroke arm)

and self-control.”   (reach out and pull fists into sides)

Galatians 5:22-23   (hold up five fingers)

06.12.11

Sunday in KidSpring we had  fun learning about another fruit of the spirit...Goodness. Goodness is doing what is right, and it's one of the things that God grows in our hearts to make us more like him!

Up and Adam helped us learn about Goodness through the story of Saul and David in 2 Samuel 24: 1-20.

Each week, we're learning one more word from our memory verse, Galatians 5:22-23.  So far, we've learned the verse up to the word "goodness."  Keep practicing the verse so that by the end of our series, On the Farm, you can say the whole thing!

"But the Holy Spirit  produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."

Preschoolers had Fun on the Farm this Sunday learning that "I Can Show Kindness!"  When we show kindness, we are showing God's love to others, just like Elisha in 2 Kings 4:1-7. Listen as Uncle Earl tells us all about this true story from the Bible:

Join us again next Sunday as we learn about Goodness, and in the meantime, keep working hard on remembering this Bible verse about all the Fruit of the Spirit:

“The Holy Spirit   (point up)

produces this kind of fruit   (roll arms around each other)

in our lives:   (thumbs to chest)

love,   (cross arms over chest)

joy,   (point to smile)

peace,   (peace sign)

patience,   (tap watch)

kindness,   (right thumbs up)

goodness,   (left thumbs up)

faithfulness,   (pat heart)

gentleness,   (stroke arm)

and self-control.”   (reach out and pull fists into sides)

Galatians 5:22-23   (hold up five fingers)

Sunday in KidSpring, we continued to learn about the fruit of the Spirit God grows in our hearts.  These are the good things the Holy Spirit produces in our lives.  Up & Adam told the story of David showing kindness to Mephibosheth.  Kindness is showing God's love to others.

Each week, we're learning one more word from our memory verse, Galatians 5:22-23.  So far, we've learned the verse up to the word "kindess."  Keep practicing the verse so that by the end of our series, On the Farm, you can say the whole thing!

"But the Holy Spirit  produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."
