Join us one week from this Sunday for the beginning of a new KidSpring series called Off the Rails! Check out the video below to see what it's all about:
Polly and Wolly had a great game for us to play this week! You can play this game at home, too. All you need is three balloons of one color, three of another color, a scrub brush or broom, and masking tape! Place masking tape at a start and finish line and then blow up all the balloons. Polly and Wolly will tell us how to play our game:
It would have been very hard to forgive someone if they came by and popped all the balloons while the contestants were playing! However, we learned that Jesus forgave us for our sins and we should forgive others when they do wrong things, too! This game helps us remember When I Follow Jesus, I Forgive Others!
After this game, see if your kids can think of other chores they could turn into games!
Throughout each KidSpring series, we practice memorizing a different verse from the Bible. Over the last eight weeks of our Pirates! series, we have been trying to remember Psalm 119:140 (CEV), which says:
"Your Word to me, your servant (make hands into a book)
is like pure gold, (rub fingers together)
I treasure what you say." (cross hands on chest)
This coming Sunday kids will be asked in small group if they want to say this verse by themselves. If they can say all or part of the verse on their own, they will get their share of the treasure!
Check back later this week to see what's coming next in KidSpring! Here's a hint...It will be "off the rails!"
Throughout each KidSpring series, preschoolers practice remembering one verse from the Bible. Over the last eight weeks of our Pirates! series, we have been trying to remember Jeremiah 29:13 (NIrV), which says:
"When you look for me (unroll pretend map)
with all your heart, (pat heart)
you will find me." (point toward heaven)
This coming Sunday preschoolers will be asked in small group if they want to say this verse by themselves. If they can say all or part of the verse on their own, they will get to choose a prize from the treasure chest!
Check back later this week to see what's coming next in KidSpring! Here's a hint...It will be "off the rails!"
This Sunday our preschool pirates set sail aboard the Jolly Roger to discover that The Bible Says Jesus Is Always With Us! We learned this from a Bible story called "Jesus Goes to Heaven!" (Matthew 28:16-20; Luke 24:44-51; Acts 1:6-11). Click on your listening ears and put on your special eyes (your preschooler can show you how!), then click below to see how Captain Buckleboots' special map told us this great story!
Next Sunday will be the last in our Pirates! series, so check back later this week to find out about something special that happens on the last day of each KidSpring series.
