This week, we learned "God's Power In Me Helps Me Take Action!" We talked about different times that we can take action by doing the right thing right away. Kids discussed taking action to clean their rooms when they are told, sitting with a new kid at lunch, and getting up first thing in the morning to read their Bibles instead of sleeping as late as they can! We also practiced using Sticky Hands to grab pieces of our Memory Verse as quickly as possible!
In Large Group, we also had to use our Sticky Hands to pick up some sandwich cards that Dr. D dropped! Because we had some superheroes from the audience take action, HERO Headquarters was able to get Dr. D's fingerprints off the sandwich cards! Kablooey called in his superhero team, the Special Ops Game Team, to help us out. Here's how Kapow and Shazam explained our game:

We have a brand new Memory Verse for our Heroes and Villains series! It's from 1 John 4:4. Here is the verse and motions that we've learned:
"God's Spirit is in you (point to heart)
and is more powerful (flex muscles)
than the one that is in the world." (make a "1" with one hand)
You can practice this verse at home with your kids! If they know the verse on the last day of this series, they will get a prize!
Each week in preschool large group a puppet named Vinny the Villain is trying to stop the heroes on the GO Team from helping others do what God wants them to do. Vinny leaves messages about his evil plans on the heroes' super phones. Click below to see the message Vinny left this week! And don't worry, our trusty team of superheroes defeated Vinny's evil plan by using a Super Book (Bible) story about a leader named Deborah in Judges 4! We also read Deborah's story in small group from The Beginner's Bible--a "Super Book" for preschool-age children (available online and at most large retail stores, like Walmart & Target)!

In Large Group, Director Stone sent us behind enemy lines to the Evil Villainous Individuals League, EVIL for short, to spy on Dr. D Nile and Poof. Dr. D and Poof work around the clock to plan attacks against our heroes and innocent civilians.
Dr. D thinks that he can overtake HERO Headquarters by making the heroes unable to take action. Dr. D creates a De-Energizer-o-matic and sends it to HERO Headquarters, hoping that the heroes will sit in it and never get up. Our superheroes learned God's Power In Me Makes Me Take Action! Director Stone was able to send out Energizer Woman to combat the villainy of the De-Energizer-o-matic!
In Small Group, we read the story from 1 Samuel 25 about Abigail pleading with David. David asked Nabal to help him, but Nabal was very mean and refused to help David. David was very angry by this and decided to attack Nabal, his family, and his servants, but Abigail, Nabal's wife, heard of the plan and took action. She met David and the 400 men he brought to attack Nabal. She gave them food and begged them not to attack Nabal. Abigail took action by doing the right thing right away and was able to prevent something terrible from happening!
