This Sunday, preschoolers in KidSpring learned to say "I Will Be Patient!" Being patient means waiting with a happy heart. A Bible story about two brothers named Jacob & Esau taught us that bad things can happen if we are not patient (Genesis 25:27-34). One day when Esau was very hungry, he did not want to wait for food, so he made a very bad choice. Esau chose to trade all the good things his dad was going to give him one day (his birthright) for a little bowl of stew from his brother. Because Esau made a bad choice, he would never have any of the good things his dad was going to give him.
Practice being patient as you wait for Halloween candy this week! While you are waiting with a happy heart, say our series Remember Verse together:
"So let's not (shake arms in "no" motion)
get tired (lay head on hands like sleeping)
of doing what is good." (two thumbs up)
Galatians 6:9 (hold up six fingers)
Don't miss the The Grace Race Jr. next Sunday as we race the Anything-Mobile around the pyramids in Egypt!
