These five life-changing values will make us different

From the beginning, God called His people to be different and make a difference.

God, the creator of the universe, revealed himself to one man in all the earth, Abraham, and made a special promise to him. Abraham’s descendants would become as numerous as all the stars in the sky, and the generations of his family would bless God and bless all the nations of the earth (Genesis 12:1-3).

That Old Testament promise to Abraham was kept thousands of years later in the coming of Jesus Christ, the Savior of all people. Jesus gave life to the church as a special family of faith to glorify God and bless the world.

As we're reminded by the Apostle Peter, the first leader of the early church, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9).

Our new five family values, along with their accompanying belief statements, reflect NewSpring’s commitment to helping people live different:

Trusting God’s Promises

“We believe God is a promise maker and a promise keeper, so we will live our lives and build His church trusting God's Word.”

Pursuing Uncommon Unity

“We believe Jesus prayed for it, so we will pursue it. We will be a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, unified church.”

Making Bold Moves

“We believe that without faith it is impossible to please God, but with it, we can move mountains. We will be a church that always chooses faith over fear.”

Having Kingdom Mentality

“We believe God has called us to love our church and THE Church. We will strengthen kingdom work in our city, our state, and our world.”

Showing Visible Love

“We believe the greatest commandment is to love God and love others, and we will be a church that shows visible love.”

To become difference makers in Christ, change begins from the inside out. We are to think different; to be different; to do different.
