Are You His Friend or Enemy?

“Go down, sit in the dust, Virgin Daughter Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, queen city of the Babylonians. No more will you be called tender or delicate,” (Isaiah 47:1).

God will go to war with his enemies to protect His children. In Isaiah 47, we read about the fall of Babylon. The nation fell because the Babylonians were evil and did not put their hope in God. Many of God’s enemies are simply too prideful to become His children. They believe they can find their own way to heaven. One day, many people will face the same fate as the Babylonians because they believe they are good enough.

We are all either enemies of God or children of God. There is no gray area in between. People want to believe there is a gray area where “good people” can be right with God based solely on their goodness. But it just isn’t biblical. The Bible tells us time and time again no one is good but God alone. The only way to become a child of God is to become a follower of Jesus.
