Exponential Growth

Everything we have is from God. There is nothing on earth that has been created that doesn’t have its origin in Him (Colossians 1:16). Moreover, everything on earth belongs to God (Psalm 24:1). So if we have something, it is a gift from God. If God is so generous with us, we ought to be generous people.

1 Corinthians 9:6 says if we sow sparingly, we will also reap sparingly. This rule of sowing and reaping works exponentially. “For to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away” (Mark 4:25). Farmers and gardeners know that not every seed sown will germinate into a plant. The more seeds that are planted, the more potential for healthy, fruit-bearing plants exist. If you sow few seeds, you’re going to reap few pieces of fruit from the few plants that grow. But if you sow many seeds, you will reap much more fruit. Our lives work the same way. If we sow time, energy, love and money into the relationships and pursuits God has given us, we’re going to reap fruit in accordance to what we have sown.
