He’s Got Your Back

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you needed someone to vouch for you?

Maybe you got yourself in a bind and you needed someone to get you out of it. Maybe you needed someone to have your back because of the circumstances that you were in. As humans, we automatically find ourselves in a bind with our spiritual well being. When it comes to the subject of our soul, we need someone to have our back.

Paul writes to his young protege, Timothy, in his first letter, “This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time” (1 Timothy 2:3-6 ESV). What Paul is trying to relay to Timothy here is that Jesus has got our back. He gave Himself as a sacrifice for us, and we no longer have to worry who will be there for us in a time of need. In other words, whenever we find ourselves between a rock and a hard place, Jesus can get us out. Whenever we seem to be in a tough situation, Jesus is right there with us.

Where do you find yourself today? Are you caught in a tough situation? Do you feel trapped and need someone to help you out?

You’re not alone. Cry out to Jesus. He has got your back.

  • Where in your life do you need Jesus?
  • What step or steps do you need to take in order to help pull yourself out of the situation you might find yourself in?
