He Gets It

The most frustrating feeling in the world is to be misunderstood. It’s the reason why when my marriage was struggling, I wanted to talk to someone else who’d been there. It was liberating to speak freely with another wife who could relate to my pain and guide me through it.

There’s a confidence that comes with knowing the person you’re talking with will understand. The writer of Hebrews reminds us we can have that same confidence when approaching the Lord. “We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weakness, but we have one who has been tempted in every way” (Hebrews 4:15).

Jesus not only paid for our sins, He understands what we’re going through. Let us approach Him with confidence and allow Him to help us in our time of need.
