Never Will I Leave You

Life, all too often, does not seem fair.  On a daily basis, we hear about things happening to “good” people and it just doesn’t seem like what we think they deserve.  It does not make sense to see people we perceive as “bad” people succeeding and seemingly being rewarded in spite of the way they choose to live their life.  For Christians who think of themselves as being “good” this is especially troubling.  The reality is none of us are good and none of us deserve anything good to happen to us.  Perhaps the problem stems from Christians trying to find hope in something other than their faith.  Our faith should be based solely upon the promises of God.
One of those promises is God will never leave us or forsake us.  What a promise! Unlike friends who become difficult to find when life begins to crumble, God promises He will always be there.  When our world is falling apart, God will remain a solid rock we can lean on and draw strength from.  God’s love for us is so much greater than we could ever imagine, and when we are hurting He wants to comfort us.
