Something to Hope In

What do you turn to for hope? We all turn to something. The problem is that most of the things we turn to do not fill our need for hope. True hope can be found throughout Scripture.

In these two verses the psalmist paints a picture of a God who will always be there. The psalmist says, “He will watch over your life…both now and forevermore.” That is a promise we can place our hope in. The Scripture does not promise us that life will be always be easy. However, it does promise that no matter how hard things get the Lord will always be there.

It is reassuring to me to know God will always hear us when we cry out to him. He will never leave us or forsake us. He will “watch over our coming and going.” We serve a God who gave us His very best even though we all too often give Him our worst. That is true love. That is amazing grace. That is the only place we will ever find true hope.
