They Are Worth It

Corporate America spends an average of $15 billion a year marketing various products to children and teens. The Disney empire alone is worth approximately $68 billion. Go to the movie theater or spend time online. There are thousands of kid-friendly, interactive websites. It’s obvious someone thinks kids are valuable and important.

Jesus did, too.

While busy teaching a group of eager listeners, a gathering of children surrounded Jesus. He could have easily waved them off, but He didn’t. He beckoned them near and spoke lovingly to them. He used them as examples of true faith and belief. He saw them as vital, important, capable of great impact.

The church should be view children as Jesus did. NewSpring values children and teens. It is evident in the excellence with which it conducts ministry to these tender age groups.

But what about us? Do we esteem and cherish young people as Jesus did? How can we give support to the formation of these young men and women of God?
