Instructions for the New Covenant

Overview: Ezekiel 45-46, 2 Peter 2

Ezekiel’s vision of restoration represents the presence of God dwelling within the temple of His people. The instructions and regulations for the renewed Israel mirror the instructions given to Moses on Mount Sinai. These details are given to Ezekiel to prepare the way for a new covenant between the Lord and His people.

Peter continues his warnings against false teachers in the church. He proves God’s judgment on false teachers by moving from minor to major biblical examples of the Lord’s justice. He condemns the false teachers for leading astray weaker people into lives of sin.
