"I went to Gauntlet the summer after my senior year of high school. At first, I honestly wasn't going to go. I was about to head to college and knew my family couldn't afford it so I said I didn't want to go. Well, on the last day to sign up, I told my Fuse pastor why I wasn't going, and he told me that there was financial assistance I could sign up for to help with the cost. So, my family signed me up, still not knowing how much it would cost. When we got the email letting us know how much of the trip was covered, we realized that the amount left to pay was all that we had left until my mom got paid again. My mom decided to invest it in me, so she paid, and I went. Leading up to this, I had felt a calling to go into ministry but was filled with a lot of doubt. It was at that Gauntlet that God confirmed my calling, and I left knowing that I wanted to do whatever I could to help others come to know Him.
I now serve as the Anderson Fuse Pastor, and it is my joy to partner with God in helping students come to know Him. I have no idea where I would be today if I didn't encounter God the way that I did that year at the Gauntlet."
