Gauntlet Senior Retreat

July 27-29, 2020

Giving Seniors the Send-Off They Deserve

Before seniors start their next adventure, we’re taking three days to celebrate and commission the class of 2020! The fun starts Monday, July 27, at the Powdersville Campus when we load buses and head to downtown Greenville.

We’ll share meals and go to sessions. We’ll have our own prom and explore downtown with friends. By the end of the retreat, you’ll have had a chance to say goodbye to high school and to step into what’s next.

What will the sessions be like?

Think of sessions like Fuse, but with seniors only. We’ll sing, pray, and learn from some incredible speakers.

How will rooming work?

Girls will room with girls, and guys will room with guys. You’ll be in a group of seven students and one leader.

Depending on how the room assignments work out, you’ll either be with three other students or two students and your group’s leader.

Leaders will sleep on the floor and will be your group’s guide for the retreat. You’re adults, so we plan to treat you as such. Leaders are there to help you stay safe and get the most out of your three days.

Do I have to take the bus from Powdersville?

Yes. Transportation to the Powdersville Campus will be your responsibility. Everyone will leave their cars or be dropped off at the Powdersville Campus and take the buses downtown. At the end of Gauntlet Senior Retreat, we will take the buses back to Powdersville where you will drive yourself home or get picked up.

Can I volunteer to serve?

We appreciate your desire to serve students! However, we think we’ll already have enough adult leaders to staff this event. Instead, we’d love to help you get started serving at Fuse. Reach out to your campus Fuse staff to learn more.

What happened to Gauntlet 2020?

In light of how COVID-19 changed all of our lives, we decided in April to forgo our annual trip to Daytona Beach in hopes of doing something different closer to home. Gauntlet Senior Retreat was the result!

If you previously purchased a ticket to Gauntlet 2020, you should have received a refund. If not, please email us at

What precautions are you taking to keep students and leaders safe?

We are closely following guidelines from state and local officials to make sure we’re doing what we can to send seniors off safely. We’ll follow all government recommendations for this size and scale of event.

What precautions are you taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19?

We’ll check students’ temperatures when they arrive at the Powdersville Campus, and every student and leader will receive masks and hand sanitizer.

We’ll disinfect surfaces that students and leaders touch frequently. We’re also limiting the number of people at tables and in rooms. We’ll have no more than eight people at a table and four people in a room.
