When we hurt God or others, we should feel bad about it. After all, we can’t repent of sins we don’t recognize. But the remorse we feel at first does not have to weigh us down forever.

When we confess our wrongdoings, God does not hold them against us. He is not keeping score or looking down on you. God promises that when we confess, He forgives. So any guilt you still feel is not from Him.

Guilt should correct us, not cripple us. If guilt is crippling you, let us help you carry the load. Use the button below to connect with our Care Team, or keep reading to learn how to let go of guilt.
