NewSpring Missions

We want to see everyone—from right here in South Carolina to the ends of the earth—in an everyday relationship with Jesus.

Vision of Missions

We all have a part to play in the Great Commission—from serving our neighbors in South Carolina through local ministry partners to sharing the gospel around the globe. God is on the move locally and globally, and we want to join Him in reaching our world. At NewSpring, we want to create opportunities for people in our church to take the Great Commission seriously, helping those we serve to meet Jesus and strengthen their everyday relationships with Him as we go.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a member of NewSpring Church to go on this trip?

The first opportunities to go on a NewSpring Mission Trip are given to members of NewSpring Church, but anyone can apply. If you are interested in becoming a member at NewSpring Church, click here.

What is the age requirement?

People of all ages can apply for a trip! In some cases, trips may have a specific age requirement (for example, a trip with Fuse, our student ministry), but that will be clearly communicated.

How long is a typical trip?

NewSpring Mission Trips vary in length. Domestic trips are often the shortest, while international trips can be 7 to 10 days. All of these trip timelines also include travel.

Is a passport required?

Trips within the US and Puerto Rico do not require a passport, but do need a REAL ID (or another acceptable alternative) to fly domestically in the U.S. You can use a U.S. passport, a U.S. passport card, or a military ID instead of a REAL ID. If you do not have these, you can still fly by paying a $45 fee to use the TSA ConfirmID verification process at the airport. Traveling outside the United States requires an up-to-date passport. Passports cost approximately $175 and are not included in the trip cost. To learn more about how to apply for a U.S. Passport, visit here.

Did my application go through?

You will receive a confirmation email after submitting your application. If you did not receive this email, please fill out the application again.

What vaccinations do I need?

Please visit the CDC website for the country you are traveling to and consult your primary care doctor to get the vaccinations. These are not included in the trip cost.

Does NewSpring offer scholarships?

We do not offer scholarships, but we would love to work with you to help you come up with a fundraising strategy to raise support!

Is this trip safe?

All of our trips work with local, trusted partners and each trip will have an accompanying safety team member. We cannot guarantee your safety, but we will do our best to ensure your physical, emotional, and spiritual safety throughout any trip.
