Digital Communications Internship
Anderson, SC
The Digital Communications Intern for NewSpring Church will help NewSpring Church communicate through digital strategy, content planning, and execution across multiple digital platforms, including but not limited to YouTube, ROCK RMS, RESI, Google Business, Apple Business, NS Podcast, and text and email communications. This role will support target audiences through engagement and outcomes through website and app updates and other digital channels, activating towards an everyday relationship with Jesus, while taking ownership of real projects.

- This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop professional skills in digital communications while deepening your faith and contributing to meaningful ministry work.
- Engage in real-life ministry experiences and explore diverse leadership styles by meeting quarterly with each team member on the NewSpring Communications Team.
- Participate in weekly one-on-one meetings with the Digital Communications Director.
- Actively contribute to the Communications Team through meetings, prayer times, and collaborative efforts.
- Support the ongoing innovation and future of digital communications at NewSpring Church.
Building the Kingdom
- Gain practical experience in digital communications strategy and execution.
- Participate and collaborate in brainstorming, planning, and strategy meetings with the Communications Team.
- Contribute to Gauntlet 2027, NewSpring’s student camp, through hands-on involvement with the Gauntlet Communications team.
- Collaborate on campaign planning and brainstorming sessions to guide audiences along the NewSpring Growth Plan to be activated in an everyday relationship with Jesus.
- Contribute to a content team that partners with the Communications Team to analyze, edit, and revamp all existing NewSpring articles, studies, and stories content.
- Collaborate with the Digital Communications Director on internal and external campaigns/project planning and brainstorming sessions to help activate the target audience by moving someone down the NewSpring Growth Plan.
- Research digital trends, audience engagement, and industry benchmarks to enhance NewSpring’s digital presence in helping NewSpring Church reach everyone everywhere everyday.
- Research AI strategies, trends and platforms to assist forward growth for the Communications team and assist on communication projects.
- Assist in creating and managing digital content for platforms such as YouTube, podcasts, emails, social media, the app, and the website.
- Assist in creating and managing all 13 NewSpring Business campus pages for Google, Apple, Church Finder, Yelp, etc.
- Receive training on RockRMS and independently build, schedule and send email and text communications once trained.
- Update website and app content, including events, sermon notes, and podcasts.

- Support digital content creation for NewSpring YouTube, podcast, emails, social media, app, and website.
- Support weekly gatherings by assisting the YouTube online hosting team and, when needed, hosting the YouTube online chat, helping people navigate the gathering, and providing clear calls to action to grow in an everyday relationship with Jesus.
- Monitor and analyze digital engagement metrics to inform strategy alongside the Digital Communications team.
Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of NewSpring Church staff members, as defined by the Policies and Procedures Handbook.
