Guest Services Intern Internship

This internship is designed for someone passionate and eager to deepen their love for God while learning how to practically live that out within the context of the local church. This intern will experience an intentional season of personal growth while gaining hands-on ministry and leadership experience. This intern will work closely with the Guest Services Desk to track first-time families and second-time retention to keep people connected, while heavily recruiting new volunteers to serve on a Guest Services team. This intern will also test new ideas and refine systems to elevate the overall Guest Experience, while collaborating directly with the Guest Services Director to launch exciting NEW teams—like the Greenville Tech team, Fuse Student Guest Services, and a Dream Maker team!

Role Expectations:
First-Time Retention and Guest Follow-Up:
- Intentionally build a team that follows up with all first-time guests to ensure they feel welcomed, cared for, and connected to the life of the church.
- Partner with the Guest Services Desk and office team to prepare second-time guest gifts, actively tracking retention rates to improve guest connection.
- Collaborate directly with the Guest Services Desk team to provide smooth, high-energy Sunday morning operations and a seamless experience for returning families/ first time family overall experience.
- Innovate and plan new ways for connection through “events”, i.e. brunch.
New Serve and Volunteer Recruitment:
- Heavily recruit new volunteers to join a ministry serving team
- Build and execute a structured volunteer follow-up system to check in with new volunteers, so they feel fulfilled and supported in their serving role.
- Partner with the Guest Services Director during Next Step conversations to discern gifts and place new volunteers in their best next step.
Dream and Create New Teams:
- Collaborate, recruit, onboard, and oversee Fuse students on the Guest Services roster in a fun, unique, and highly engaging way.
- Work alongside the Guest Services Lead Team to elevate the overall experience at Greenville.
- Launch and lead an "Unreasonable Hospitality" floater team dedicated to proactively seeing needs, surprising guests, and creating memorable moments on Sundays.
Team Engagement:
- Participate in monthly Guest Services team meetings and attend one Thursday night per month.
- Join weekly statewide Guest Services meetings to collaborate and be a part of the Guest Services team across the state.
- Cast vision, support volunteers, and help create culture of both FUN and TEAM within the Greenville Guest Services Team.
