Learning and Innovation Intern Internship

The Learning & Innovation Intern will play a hands-on role in developing NewSpring staff, supporting innovation and strategic culture, and executing high-impact experiences across the organization. This position bridges instructional design, strategic research, and operational facilitation—offering deep exposure to staff leader development, innovation processes, and large-scale event logistics.

Develop and grow in skills and integrity of heart. 

Actively contribute to the Learning and Innovation team through meetings, operational support, and collaboration. 

Participate in weekly one-on-one meetings with the Learning and Innovation Content Creator. 

Contribute and engage with the church through service and discipleship. 


Building the Kingdom: 

Staff Learning Experiences 

  • Design and execution: Partner with the team to plan, identify, and equip teachers, and execute engaging monthly learning opportunities that provide practical value to NewSpring staff.
  • Communication: Assist in delivering follow-up content and creating marketing for what’s next, while collecting feedback from each event. 

Staff Leadership Development 

  • Program Support: Assist with class preparation, logistics, and day-of execution for the Staff Leadership Development program.
  • Participant Management: Direct the delivery and collection of participant coursework, presentation rubrics, and presentation assignments to keep cohort members on track. 

Organizational Innovation 

  • Process mastery: Learn and apply NewSpring’s innovation frameworks.
  • Sprint and session support: Assist with operational readiness and day-of logistics for Innovation sprints; progress from shadowing to co-facilitating brainstorm sessions.
  • Research and strategy: Gather and analyze industry trends, culture, and relevant data to contribute to the team’s annual research decks and strategic initiatives.
  • AI Integration: Ethically and sustainably leverage emerging AI tools to assist in research, data analysis, and innovation optimization. 

Event and Team Support 

  • Student Environments: Serve alongside the Student Environments and Experience team during Gauntlet planning and execution.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Coordinate and conduct volunteer interviews, evaluate candidate fit, and manage placement across specific sub-teams for Environments Experience Team.
