Worship Intern Internship

The intern will be expected to commit to a season of growth with their mentor, the staff of NewSpring Powdersville, and the leadership of the church. They will help pioneer worship culture and submit to feedback as they grow and champion what God is doing in their ministry! They will practically not be limited to one area of ministry—but commit to serve the body in Powdersville where opportunities present themselves and grow in their leadership capacity as a priest.
● Lead worship team for Fuse gatherings, upholding integrity of heart and skillful hands.
● Help recruit and develop worship leaders and musicians to play at Fuse.
● Schedule bands and transfer setlists from Global to the local Planning Center page for all weeks of Fuse.
● Communicate details, vision for songs, and worship moments to bands leading up to rehearsal/gatherings.
● Prepare for rehearsal/hard start by downloading the Ableton session and changing keys.
● Work with the service producer and be responsible to communicate any details to the band.
● Connect less experienced band members with more experienced band members to help them get developed in their skillset. This could include, but is not limited to, the Fuse Development Band.
● Walk through the onboarding process with new band members alongside the Campus Worship Director.
● Lead and/or facilitate shepherding of the band through rhythmic one-on-one meetings.
● Have a weekly one-on-one with Campus Worship Director for your own spiritual and skillful hands development.
● Attend any necessary Fuse or Worship Arts meetings to receive or convey vision, information, and evaluation.
● This role could include any other worship responsibilities as the Campus Worship Director sees fit, such as: 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting, Sundays, etc.
Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of NewSpring Church staff members, as defined by the Policies and Procedures Handbook.
