Jesus Is Greater

Having a tough day, or just need some hope? Check out these 10 reminders from the Bible that Jesus is greater than anything and everything we may face!

1.) Jesus is greater than death

“The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:56-57)

2.) Jesus is greater than our problems

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

3.) Jesus is greater than our sin

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)

4.) Jesus is greater than our doubt

“He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.” (Luke 24:38-39)

5.) Jesus is greater than our past

“As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)

6.) Jesus is greater than our plans

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

7.) Jesus is greater than our pain

“Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4-5)

8.) Jesus is greater than our fear

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

9.) Jesus is greater than our needs

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

10.) Jesus is greater

“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth” (Philippians 2:9-10)
