Faith in God’s Promises

Throughout the book of Job, we read dialogues between Job and his friends and between Job and God, and we become a part of the internal turmoil Job is experiencing. Unlike Job, we see the story from multiple perspectives. We get the complete picture, allowing us to know why things are happening and what happens as a result of Job’s circumstances. We know God is faithful and that through all of Job’s hardships, He is working for Job’s good.

In chapter 19, Job demonstrates his faith in the Lord despite not knowing the outcome of his situation. Job states his faith in that he yearns for the day when he will see the Lord face to face. Job knew that his circumstances did not change God’s character, and he demonstrated perfectly the hope we all can have in Jesus. No matter what our situation, we can be sure God is present, purposeful and powerful.
