When our lives are exploding, throwing a party is the last thing on our minds. Yet, that’s what the Lord does for David in Psalm 23: 

“You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows (Psalm 23:5)”

The table God prepares is a table for two, for your Shepherd and you. But the enemy doesn’t care. He'll pull up a chair and fill your mind with all sorts of lies.
