If you find yourself re-reading your favorite parts of the Bible over and over, it’s time to try a Bible reading plan.
So why a two-year Bible reading plan? Reading the entire Bible slowly allows us to reflect on the whole counsel of God. As we do, we will become “like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither” (Psalm 1:3).
You might think reading the whole Bible is impossible, but you can do it. Two years creates a manageable pace, and when you invite friends to read the Bible with you, you’ll have people to support you and share the experience with you.
You might think reading the whole Bible is impossible, but you can do it!
In this plan, each day includes a short passage from Psalms or Proverbs and a longer passage from another book of the Bible. This will allow you to get a clear picture of the structure and overall message of each of the 66 books in the Bible.
The readings are designed to follow the logic of the story or argument the writer is making. Each morning (or evening or whenever you spend time with God), simply read the passages assigned for that day.
If you happen to miss a day, we included “catch-up days” along the way to help you get back on track or dig deeper into passages that interest you.
You can do this! And having a reading plan will help.
