What’s the Plan?

Having plenty of time to complete a task is not always the best gift. Knowing there are weeks ahead to get the garden ready, complete that term paper or prepare that presentation for an ad campaign tempts us to delay planning or even taking the first step toward completion. No matter how much time we have, it still takes hard work to see the finished product.

Resting too often when real work needs to be done can mean frantic nights of worry. Weekends that should be given to rest are turned into last-minute rushing to meet deadlines. There is an overall frustration with what could have been an orderly process of satisfaction with deserved rest at its end.

When we ask for spiritual help in all our tasks, it will be given. It is, in fact, promised. What a reassuring blessing to know that our Lord wants to be a part of and will direct our plans … if we let him!
