Grounded in God’s Word
Overview: Ezekiel 43-44, 2 Peter 1
Ezekiel’s vision of restoration pictures the presence of God dwelling within the temple of His people. The return of God’s glory to the temple begins a new era in the relationship between God and man. Receiving the regulations for the renewed Israel puts Ezekiel in the position of a new Moses, meeting with the Lord on the mount of the new temple.
The second letter of Peter focuses on the theme of the grace of God and its power to transform Christians for righteousness. God’s grace produces fruit in the lives of the believer such as knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, and love. Peter warns against false teachers deceiving the church and calls them to focus on living lives faithful to Jesus.
