New Life in Christ

Overview: Isaiah 49-50, Ephesians 4

Through Isaiah, God explains that He will rescue and restore the people of Israel and put their enemies to shame. Through the servant of the Lord, salvation is available for the whole world and this salvation will last forever. This prophecy of the servant is fulfilled in Jesus, the "light for the nations" (Isaiah 49:6, Acts 13:47)

Paul speaks about the need for mature believers who have become more like Jesus to be leaders in unifying the Church and helping it grow. The new life in Christ is different from that without faith in Jesus, and those traits should characterize His followers. He gives some practical examples of how believers can build up the church.

If you are a believer in Jesus, how are you different than you were before you trusted Him?
