Why stewardship matters

Read

Psalm 24

The whole world and everything in it belong to God.

The Bible says we brought nothing into this world, and we will take nothing out. However, the Bible also tells us God is a good Father who has the ability and desire to bless us and give us good gifts.

Stewardship is how you manage what you have.

“Stewardship” is something we say in church world that simply means how you manage what you have. Until we master stewardship, we won’t be able to handle, or even fully enjoy, the gifts God wants to bless us with. The Bible is clear on how we should steward our time, our relationships, and our money.

How we use our resources is a great indicator of how we view God. If all we focus on is building our own kingdoms, we will become less and less willing to help other people. It’s impossible to help build the kingdom of God if we’re worshipping anything other than Jesus.

I worship Jesus because He’s the only man in history to live a perfect life, to die for you and me, and to come back to life. Jesus effectively conquered death. He is worthy of our worship and our obedience, especially in regard to stewardship.
