Group Leaders

Friends become family when we pursue God together.

Why Lead a Group?

Every family has at least one relative who loves bringing people together. In our NewSpring family, Group Leaders are those people.

Group Leaders create intentional, consistent, and trusting environments where friends can grow in their relationships with Jesus and each other.

As you pursue God together, you’ll experience the joy of seeing those you love become mature disciples.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I qualified to lead?

If you have a desire to pursue God with friends, you’re well on your way! Leading a Group isn’t about being perfect. But, leading comes with commitments. We’ll want to make sure group leading is the best fit for you in this season. Once we’ve talked in person, we’ll equip you with the rest.

What should my Group do together?

Each Group is as unique as the individuals in it. As you start leading, you’ll be connected with Group Leader Coaches who can help you discover what works for your Group. Whether you need help structuring your meetings, finding a study, or creating a family culture, your staff and coaches can help.

What if I can’t teach?

You don’t have to be a gifted teacher or chief theologian to be a phenomenal Group Leader. You simply need a hunger for God, a humility to serve, and the courage to be vulnerable.

Do I have to lead people I don’t know?

No! While we love Groups that are open to new members joining, we also love Groups of close friends that are intentional about growing together.

Does the Group have to meet at my home?

Some Groups meet in coffee shops or restaurants. But, we prefer when Groups to meet in homes because home is where family life happens. Embrace the beautiful imperfections of inviting others into your home — no matter how big or small.
