We are the Wright Family!

Currently, we live in a city with a population of over 2 million people in a country that is 98.9% Muslim and less than half of a percent Christian. When we first felt the Lord call us to this region, little did we know how much we would grow to love and appreciate its rich culture and wonderful people!

Each day, when we look around the city and think of how few people have actually experienced a new life in Christ, and the joy and hope we have in Him, my heart breaks. It is our hope that by building genuine relationships with the people around us and being living examples of the joy and hope of Christ, that His word will spread and that the lost will come to know Him as Lord.

Through various social gatherings and community events that we host every week, we are able to meet new people and build relationships with many families living around us. Over time, we are able to share our faith in Jesus and find that many people are open and willing to listen! Alyssa leads a mom’s ministry that sees more than 15 mothers and their children come each week and spend time in fellowship with Christian women who are able to love them and point them towards Christ at every God-given opportunity.

We have also been able to play key roles in helping plant and support a local church that welcomes and disciples anyone who wants to come. It is our hope that as our outreach grows, we can continue the work of building healthy, thriving, and multi-generational churches that will love and disciple all people for years to come!

Every day, we have the opportunity to co-labor with the Holy Spirit in a work that will truly impact generations to come. Through His Holy Spirit, working in our family, we can spend each day with intentionality and purpose that will live far beyond our lifetime and work. By actively organizing and hosting various ministry outreaches and helping support, strengthen, and plant local churches, we believe that the number of people in this region who know Jesus as Lord and Savior will grow each day and that the work of Christ will carry on far beyond our years on this earth.

Philippians 1 says “I thank God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine, for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion on the day of Jesus Christ.”
