Financial Peace Through Tithing

Tithing is the practice of giving the first 10% of your income back to God through the local church, and here at NewSpring, we believe in the freedom on the other side of obedience to tithing. Hear from Tracey from Charleston Campus, on her experience with stepping into obedience through tithing: “God showed me that my trust in my own ability to earn money had overshadowed my trust in Him. So, I averaged my yearly income and started tithing 10%. I have never fallen short, and I often have extra. I don’t worry about money anymore. God used my job loss to shift my focus from a self-dependent to a God-dependent perspective. I now view my income (and my spending habits) through what God wants me to do, not what I want to do.
