Serving our Communities in Response to Roe v. Wade

Roe v. Wade has been overturned by the Supreme Court. The implications for our country, and especially our state, are vast. We understand this causes relief and celebration for some and confusion and fear for others. As a church that has always stood for the sanctity and dignity of every human life, we have an increased opportunity to model the heart of Jesus by compassionately serving women and children at every stage.

Our calling as Christ followers in this present day is the same as it has always been: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these’” (Mark 12:30-31). This requires that we show visible love to one another with our words, with our actions, and with our resources.

Nothing will prevent us from welcoming anyone into our church. We will be a place of hope and healing for everyone, regardless of situation or circumstance. We must receive one another with open arms and open hearts.

Because we have a kingdom mentality, we work with others in our church, our communities, and around the world to help everyone know Jesus. While our church is always open and eager to serve all women, we know there are organizations who are currently doing this well and we partner with them. For years, NewSpring Church has given to local organizations who support families in our communities.

We know this decision may bring up an array of feelings and questions surrounding abortion and the sanctity of life. If abortion is part of your past or you are facing an unexpected pregnancy, we want you to know we love you, we will support you, and you are welcome here. If you would like to talk with someone or need support, please email us at hello@newspring.cc.

Find a list below of organizations in your community and reach out to them to find ways you can partner with them or receive their services.
