The Christmas Season is Here

In Old Testament days, prophets, priests, and kings were anointed and set apart for their special work. Anointing symbolized their continuous connection to God through the Holy Spirit. They were specially empowered by God for their ministry. These Old Testament offices anticipated the special work of the Messiah, the Anointed One. At the beginning of His ministry, Jesus stood and declared Himself to be the Christ, the long-awaited Messiah (Luke 4:16-21). As Messiah, Jesus fulfilled and embodied the ministry of Prophet, Priest, and King. This Christmas, we will elevate Christ as Messiah and discover how His ministry challenges us to live as everyday ministers of the Gospel by walking through each of the ministries Jesus fulfilled: Prophet (Sunday, December 7), Priest (Sunday, December 14), and King (Sunday, December 21).

We will conclude the Christmas season with a joyful experience on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24, at 3:30pm and 5pm. The Christmas Eve Candlelight gathering is full of encouragement, hope, and joy.  This gathering is for all ages, so please bring your children, friends, neighbors, or anyone who could use some hope and peace this Christmas season. KidSpring will not be open so that we can experience the gathering with all generations. We can’t wait to worship together as we light candles and welcome in the best news of all: Jesus!
