Matt Steelman

Aiken Campus

Matt grew up in Durham, NC where he met Jesus and was baptized at an early age. He began attending NewSpring in 2005 and saw his relationship with Jesus go to a whole new level. Through Fuse as a student and volunteer, Matt's involvement in NewSpring and interest in the local church escalated over the years. He and his wife Nikki are excited to be a part of what Jesus is doing in Aiken!

Riley Cummings

Anderson Campus

Riley met Jesus at an early age, but it was at NewSpring that he learned to love and pursue Him. He began attending the Anderson Campus as a student at Clemson and the Lord changed his life. Riley has always loved the Anderson community, and the opportunity to serve as a Campus Pastor is his dream job. Riley and his wife, Tara, love being a part of the Anderson community.

Ryan Kirkland

Charleston Campus

Ryan made a decision to follow Jesus at an early age, but it wasn't until college that he started to understand what that meant. He began attending and serving at NewSpring while attending Anderson University. He married his wife, Lauralee, in 2013. Ryan served as Lexington Campus Pastor before becoming the Charleston Campus Pastor. Ryan is so honored to serve alongside the Charleston team to change the state of South Carolina, one person at a time.

Cliff Craig

Clemson Campus

Cliff met Jesus at an early age, but didn't fully understand what it meant to follow Jesus until friends at Clemson University invited him to NewSpring. He began attending the Anderson Campus in the early 2000's. Cliff is married to Lauren, and they have three daughters and one son. Serving as the Campus Pastor in Clemson is Cliff’s dream job.

Alden Ellis

Columbia Campus

Alden is originally from Florence, SC and moved to Anderson, SC to attend Anderson University. He accepted Jesus in 2000. Since joining staff in 2005, Alden has had several different roles and is honored to serve as the Columbia Campus Pastor. Alden and his wife, Deanna, have a son, Bryce, and daughter, Chloe! The Ellis family is so excited to see Jesus change the city and the entire Midlands region!

Sam Gibson

Florence Campus

Sam received Christ at the Florence Campus in 2009. Later, he joined staff serving with our Fuse Student Ministry and, in 2012, became the Campus Pastor in Florence. He and his wife, Leigh Anne, have been married since 2011 and love life in Florence, SC.

Lee McDerment

Greenville Campus

Lee has been on staff at NewSpring since the very beginning in 2000. As the very first hire, Lee was NewSpring's Worship Pastor for 15 years, then in 2015 transitioned to being our Creative Arts Pastor. Now he is serving NewSpring as the Campus Pastor for Greenville.

Lee's favorite calling in ministry is being a husband to Ali and a dad to his two children, Gray and Lucy.

Matt Alley

Greenwood Campus

Matt has been attending NewSpring since 2002, when he was a high school senior. He and his wife, Erin, moved to Spartanburg after feeling a call into ministry. In 2011, the Alleys realized they were called to serve at NewSpring. He joined staff as the Spartanburg Guest Services Director in January 2012, and transitioned to the Greenwood Campus Pastor in September 2012.

Josh Seabaugh

Hilton Head Campus

Josh grew up in St. Louis, Missouri where he met Jesus and was baptized at an early age. In 2014, he moved to South Carolina to pursue dating his now wife, Ali. That same year, Josh joined the NewSpring staff working with Next Steps on the Central Writing team and then as a Groups Director at the Anderson Campus. He is excited to serve as the Hilton Head Community Campus Pastor!

Darrin Dick

Myrtle Beach Campus

Darrin grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and moved to Savannah, Georgia in 2006 to study film and animation. Three years later, he took on his first and greatest ministry when he married his high school sweetheart, Maryclayre. While he was job searching in New York and Los Angeles to work in an agency or film studio, God was preparing him for full-time ministry. He joined NewSpring staff as a video producer in 2010. Since then, God has been growing his passion to build up the local church. Eventually, the Lord moved Darrin’s heart toward pastoring, and specifically to being a campus pastor. Darrin and his wife, Maryclayre, have two girls, Adelynne and Mollyanne and they live in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Robbie Green

Northeast Columbia Campus

Robbie began attending Clemson in 2004 and a few friends invited him to NewSpring. Around that time, he felt the Lord calling him into ministry. Robbie is married to Charlee, and they have two daughters. Robbie joined the NewSpring staff in 2011 and has been the Northeast Columbia Community Campus Pastor since 2015. He is excited to see Jesus start a movement that changes the community.

Mike Link

Powdersville Campus

Mike grew up in Columbus, Ohio and has made his home in the Upstate of South Carolina since moving here to start a business in 2006.  He began attending the Newspring Greenville Campus in 2009 where he received Christ in 2010.  He has been on staff since 2013 and is passionate about helping people connect to Jesus and the church.  He and his wife Amanda have been married since 2016 and make their home in Greenville. 

Jordan Smith

Rock Hill Campus

Jordan grew up in Rock Hill, where he made the decision to follow Jesus at an early age. It wasn’t until he started attending NewSpring’s Florence campus after college that he began to understand and pursue an active, thriving relationship with Jesus. Jordan joined NewSpring staff as a Creative Arts Director in 2014. He, his wife Carmen, and their daughter Charlotte moved back home to Rock Hill because they are passionate about making the name of Jesus famous in their city. Jordan is excited about the opportunity to see Jesus radically change his hometown!

David Hall

Spartanburg Campus

David began attending the Anderson Campus in the Fall of 2002. He joined the staff in 2006 working with the Fuse Student Ministry, and then moved to Florence in 2008 in preparation for the Florence Campus launch. After serving with Fuse and KidSpring at the Florence Campus, David became the Campus Pastor for our Spartanburg Campus, which launched on Easter 2012. David, his wife Bridget, and their children live in Spartanburg.
