Matt met Jesus and was baptized at an early age while growing up in Durham, NC. After moving to Clemson, SC in high school, he began attending NewSpring in 2005 and saw his relationship with Jesus go to a whole new level. Through Fuse as a student and volunteer, Matt's involvement in NewSpring and interest in the local church escalated over the years. Now, he and his wife Nikki are thrilled to be a part of what Jesus is doing in Aiken!
Riley received Christ at an early age, but it was at NewSpring that he learned to love and pursue the Lord. He began attending the Anderson Campus as a student at Clemson and the Lord used the people there to change his life. Riley has always loved the Anderson and Clemson community, and the opportunity to serve as a Campus Pastor is his dream job. Riley and his wife, Tara, live in Anderson.
Matt was born and raised in Hartsville, SC where he was saved and baptized at an early age. He started coming to NewSpring while he was in school at Clemson University. He joined the staff in 2012 working with the Fuse Student Ministry in Spartanburg and eventually as the Associate Campus Pastor for the Spartanburg Campus. Matt is now excited to be back in the low country, where he serves as the Campus Pastor for the Charleston Campus.
Cliff was saved by Jesus at an early age, but didn't fully understand what it meant to follow Jesus until being challenged by some friends when he started attending Clemson University. The same friends invited him to NewSpring, and he began attending the Anderson Campus in the early 2000's. It was around that same time that he felt the Lord calling him into ministry. Cliff is married to Lauren, and they have three daughters. This is Cliff's dream job: serving Jesus in the most incredible location in the world.
Aaron Chovan accepted Jesus the summer of 2012 at NewSpring Church's Florence Campus. Aaron joined NewSpring staff in May 2013 as the Columbia Guest Services Director and became the Campus Pastor in April 2014. Aaron and his wife Angie have been married since 2003 and have one daughter and one son. Aaron is excited for the opportunity to serve as the Campus Pastor and see the city of Columbia changed as people take next steps with Jesus!
Sam received Christ at the Florence Campus in 2009. Later, he joined the staff serving with our Fuse Student Ministry and, in 2012, became the Campus Pastor in Florence. He and his wife, Leigh Anne, have been married since 2011.
Matt's life was dramatically changed when he met Jesus in 2010 and continues to change as he takes next steps in his relationship with Christ. Matt started attending NewSpring in 2010 and joined the NewSpring Staff in 2012. Matt, his wife Melodie, and their children live in the Greenville area. He loves being involved in the local church and having a front row seat as Jesus sets people free, restores marriages, and changes lives forever.
Matt has been attending NewSpring since he was a high school senior in 2002. He and his wife moved to Spartanburg after feeling a call into ministry. Matt served with Fellowship of Christian Athletes at USC Upstate until a vision night in 2011, when the Alleys realized they were called to serve at NewSpring. He joined the staff as the Spartanburg Volunteer Director in January 2012, and then became the Greenwood Campus Pastor in September 2012.
Adam started attending NewSpring in high school and was saved his freshmen year of college at Clemson University. Throughout his time at Clemson, he volunteered with the Fuse Ministry and felt God put ministry on his heart. After teaching one year at Dorman High School, Adam felt God call him into full-time ministry. Since then, he has worked with our Fuse and KidSpring ministries, and is beyond excited to be leading the Greer Campus. Adam and his wife, Hayden, live in Greer and can't wait to see what God does in and through the Greer Campus.
Josh grew up in St. Louis, Missouri where he met Jesus and was baptized at an early age. In 2014, he moved to South Carolina to pursue dating his now wife, Ali Seabaugh. That same year, Josh joined the NewSpring staff working with Next Steps on the Central Writing team and then as a Groups Director on the Anderson Campus. He is excited to serve as the Hilton Head House Campus Pastor and can't wait to celebrate what the Lord does in the area!
Stephen met Jesus the summer before his Sophomore year at Anderson University in 2007. He joined the staff in 2010 working with the Fuse Student Ministry in Columbia and later as the Associate Campus Pastor at the Columbia Campus. He and his wife Kirstie have been married since 2010 and have one son, Elijah. He is excited to now be serving as the Lexington Campus Pastor and expectant of what God is going to do in and through the Town of Lexington!
James was born in New Orleans, LA and was raised there and in Tulsa, OK. James received Christ and was baptized at an early age. James moved to South Carolina to attend and play football at Wofford College where he graduated from in 2007. After working for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for over 4 years James joined the staff as the Fuse Director in Greenville for two years and eventually became the Associate Campus Pastor. James can't wait to see what God does as Jesus builds his church along the Grand Strand in SC. James and his wife Erica along with their children live in the Myrtle Beach area.
Robbie was saved by Jesus at an early age, and in middle school began to understand that following Jesus requires next steps. Robbie began attending Clemson in 2004 and a few friends invited him to NewSpring. That same year he began attending the Anderson Campus. It was around that same time that he felt the Lord calling him into ministry. Robbie is married to Charlee, and they have two daughters. Robbie joined the NewSpring staff in 2011. He has been the Northeast Columbia Campus Pastor since 2015 and is excited to see Jesus start a movement that changes that whole community.
Bobby was saved at age 7, but he did not begin to cultivate his walk with Jesus until his senior year in high school. While attending Anderson University, Bobby joined the Army where Jesus began to use him to reach people far from God. During this time, Jesus began to give Bobby both a heart for ministry and leadership. He started serving at NewSpring in 2009. He came on staff in 2012 as the Fuse Pastor at our Florence Campus. Now Bobby, his wife Amber, and their son Jackson live in Easley and believe the best is yet to come for the Powdersville campus.
Kaleb started coming to NewSpring in the 7th grade and received Christ in the 9th grade at the very first Gauntlet summer camp. Kaleb was born and raised in a small town called Pelzer, SC, and came on staff after graduating high school in the Anderson area to serve as a Worship Leader in the Fuse ministry. After 5 1/2 years on the Fuse staff, he felt called to go plant NewSpring in Rock Hill. Kaleb now lives in Rock Hill with his wife Kristen and dog Lilly.
Will was born and raised in Greenville, SC. He prayed to receive Christ and was baptized at an early age. Will started attending NewSpring in 2005 and joined staff in 2010. He has worked with our Greenville Campus Production and Service Producing teams. Will is excited to lead the Simpsonville Campus and reach the community with the hope of Jesus!
Shane grew up in Sumter where he accepted Jesus at an early age and got baptized. He started attending NewSpring as a freshman at Clemson University. He began serving at NewSpring and came on staff in 2010. Shane and his wife Mallory have been married since 2010 and have one son named Samuel. Shane is so excited to be the Spartanburg Campus Pastor and to reach people in the city of Spartanburg for Jesus.
Jeremy was raised in Houston, TX. He grew up in church, but it wasn’t until he was 21 that he began to fully follow Jesus. This decision marked the beginning of a journey of part and full-time ministry that eventually led to Jeremy joining the NewSpring staff as our Greenwood Next Steps Director in 2013. Jeremy, his wife Jessica, and their entire family can not wait to see what Jesus will do through His Church in Sumter!
