How I Found Beauty in My Brokenness as a Teenage Mom With Twins

Angela Tinsley’s Story

In high school, Angela Tinsley started dating a guy who she thought she would end up marrying. But when the relationship ended, she fell into a deep depression and often felt like suicide was her only way out. Angela thought her life was over. She had given her life to Jesus in 6th grade, but now that she was older and bad things were happening she doubted who He was and pushed him away. One night while attending a Fuse service she made the decision to remain sexually pure, not knowing she was already pregnant with twins by her ex-boyfriend. She feared NewSpring would be like so many other churches that would shun someone like her. Instead of shame and judgment she received love and support. She is now 18 with twin sons, Aiden and Brayden. She no longer finds her worth in what a guy thinks about her, but she knows she is wonderful and important to God.
