One Person Can Make A Difference

When God spoke to Ben Duncan about a move to NewSpring Charleston, all Ben knew was that he wanted to work with the local Fuse ministry to reach middle-school boys with the love of Jesus.
Ben's life had transformed by the influence of a high-school youth leader at NewSpring Greenville, and he wanted to do the same for others.
Ben's friendship with one middle-schooler eventually led to that boy's decision to ask Jesus into his life on Salvation Sunday in 2012 - the same day as his mom. And that led to a Saturday morning small group at the family's home that exploded in popularity, along with a weekly caravan of neighborhood boys driven to Fuse every Wednesday night.
In the space of a year, several of those boys met Jesus, including one who had tried to take his life and another still hurting from his dad's unexpected death.
Two moms also ended up seeing their need for a relationship with Jesus because of their sons' encouragement to attend NewSpring and the difference that Ben, the group and Fuse was making in their boys' lives.
When Ben set out, he expected, perhaps, to help a few boys with some homework - not unleash a wave of lifechange that transformed four families for eternity.
