Free Of My Past - Jackie Jeter’s Story

Jackie Jeter's Story

Jackie Jeter tried to escape from an abusive childhood only to find herself thrown into a situation that proved impossible for her to handle.

A terrifying decision led to five years in prison, during which she alternately blamed God for her predicament and feared his judgment.

Once she was released, Jackie continued to make poor decisions that led her to become a single mother of four children, sometimes homeless and often without food. "I was angry. I thought God had done this to me. I hated Him, but more than that, I hated myself."

At a food pantry, she learned about NewSpring Church, where she finally heard the good news of Jesus and realized that God offered love and forgiveness her despite all her sin.
