From What Would A Champion Do?

We know the real reason Golden State won the Finals...

Riley Curry. Not really, love her though.

The fr reason the Warriors won the championship is because they were a better team. Even though the Cleveland Cavaliers have the single best player in the world, LeBron James, they didn't have enough quality players around to help him out.

Fittingly, the Warriors motto this season was; “Strength in Numbers”. This may just seem like a cool thing to say in a group huddle but it’s actually biblical and applicable to everyday life.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the day approaching.”  - Hebrews 10:24-25

Jesus has big plans for each of our lives. These plans include having people to share in life with. Following Jesus isn’t always easy. We will have days that being a Christian doesn't sound like something we want to do. But with people around you who believe in you it’s:

  • A whole lot more fun.
  • A whole lot easier.

But don't just settle for any old teammate, surround yourself with friends that:

  1. Help you follow Jesus.
  2. Love you.
  3. Tell you what you need to hear, not just want you want to hear.

Make “Strength in Numbers” the motto of all your seasons.
