Love At All Times

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” - Proverbs 17:17

No one is meant to go through life alone and without help. God wants give you friends and to make you a friend, so that yourself and others will be blessed.

Proverbs 17:17 says, “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” It’s when life gets hard that we need our friends the most. But sometimes friends abandon us for relationships that require less of them. But we know that God sticks with us through life’s trials, sin, and bad decisions. God is our friend and God never leaves us, and He doesn’t want us to be the kind of friend that leaves when things gets hard. God shows us how to be friends that love through thick and thin and He empowers us to love the friends He has brought into our lives.
God calls us to love our friends “at all times.” He calls us to a lifestyle of love and stick-to-itiveness. Life is meant to be lived loving our friends like God loves us. 

What friend of yours needs your help right now? Who can you choose to serve over yourself? What friend is God calling you to love with the love he has shown you today?

Prayer

1) Reflect on how much God loves you and how good of a friend He is.
2) Ask God to make you more like Him and to help you love your friends like He loves us.
3) Pick a friend and pray for them right where you are.
