God is FAITHFUL

“God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” —Numbers 23:19
It is hard to think of someone who is always faithful. In a world full of people who always look out for themselves, regardless of what we have said or promised, how could there be a person who is true and good no matter what? But even in a world that is faithless, God remains faithful. Just like we have talked about the past two days, being faithful is not something He does, it is who He is. Faithfulness is essential to His being. Without it, He would not be God. In fact, for Him to be unfaithful would be to go against Himself. When God makes a promise, be encouraged that He WILL fulfill it. When God speaks to you, know that He WILL act. The Bible assures us of that over and over again. God never forgets. He doesn’t fail. He never falters. He never goes against His word.
Maybe you are dealing with something right now and it seems like God is being unfaithful. You cannot feel Him and you cannot see Him working. (If you are not experiencing that right now, listen up, because you will one day!) God never said that we wouldn’t see trouble, but through it all He does promise to be faithful. Romans 8:28 says that God is working ALL things together for our good! Do you see that? He is working. It may not be immediate, and it may not be visible right now, but He is always working, and it is always for our good if we are in Christ. If your situation is not good, know it is not over yet. Cling to God’s promises. Call on Him. He who promised us IS faithful (Deuteronomy 7:9).

Look at how God has been faithful in your life and know that His past faithfulness is proof of His future provision for you. Pray and ask Him to show you. He tells us to ask Him. So ask!
